Latest Events: Just a typical day at school for me. Yesterday was a break, as it was Sunday, which doesn't necessarily guarentee it's a school break. It was raining so heavily, but my host parents decided to go for a 6 or 7 kilometer hike, up a Mountain. It was nice, though wet, and extremely. And since I ran everyday last week, i'm exhausted.
June 10, 2007---10:00 PM JST
Feeling: weird
Listening: mosquitoes landing all around my room
Latest Events: In 10 months, I have never really felt like I missed anything from back at home. I mean not to much has really happened. Yet I just found out that Prom was friday. I went to last year's prom and it wasn't all that it was worked up to be. Yet, I missed my own Junior prom. For the first time I actually feel like I missed something. But then as I begin to feel sad, I think about what I've done here in Japan. I love my new host family, and am finally feeling confident in the language. Thus school is so much fun, because I have some of the best friends in the world. Maybe I missed Junior year, which is somewhat unconventional. But you know? When have I ever been conventional.

At Starbucks, I ordered a Sweet Red Bean Frappucino, which I don't reckon American Starbucks sell. They ought to start, though. Now I'm exhausted from about 3 weeks of not being able to sleep in. Tommorrow morning, I hope to sleep to 9, if I'm really lucky.

Latest Events: Just, as in 2 minutes ago, ran into more of the little fiends, or Gokiburi (cockroaches) I couldn't even have my Samurai host mom kill it, because it ran into my laundry pile. I can't decide what is more repulsive, the cockroach, or the laundry that it climbed in. TOday, I finsihsed sewing my new Yukata, and wore it. I look like such an old lady in it, but still, being able to say that I sewed my own Yukata is pretty cool I guess.

July 9, 2007---7:21 AM
Feeling: Sore
Listening:
Latest Events: Yesterday I had my first Yosakoi practice. It was more like army boot camp. I'm so excited to be dancing in the festival, but it is hard! The teacher is this little Japanese Obachan that could murder me with her eyes closed. We started the dance, which is a fast paced Japanese-style, and I was seriously the worse dancer in the whole studio. The dancing team is mad eup of 4 years olds thru 60 year olds. It's going to be alot of fun, even though I have practice 4 times a week. But I'm not compalaining, I really do need it! If you are interested in what Yosakoi is, check out what wikipedia has:
